Using sponsorship money from Hitachi, A5 booklets have been produced every year since 1996, based on game records collected at the tournament. They contain analysis by players such as Matthew Macfadyen, Jean Michel and recently Seong-June Kim. Every participant in the tournament receives a copy of the booklet a few weeks after the event. The booklet has grown from a small beginning (photocopied and produced without proper software for diagrams) to 32 pages of printed material. The level is mostly for kyu players.
Many demonstrations and many media reports of Go. The Andalusian Go Association produced an extensive report on the activities in their cooperation with the local government. The report makes note of at least 4 long articles in newspapers, at least 3 TV reports, at least 2 radio reports and it shows more then 15 photos of the events, mostly with children. This project makes use of the European Go Centre teaching material (Step by step). Unfortunately the report is in Spanish, so we can't make a full summary.
Average manpower and costs.
Good, motivated tournament participation.
